How VERSUSPORTS LLC handles information.

Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how VERSUSPORTS LLC (“VersuSports,” “we,” “us”), an Oregon limited liability company, collects and uses information across our websites and products, including versusports.com, venues.versusports.com, and app.versusports.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

VersuSports builds live scoreboards and related tools for real sports venues, and operates the VERSUSPORTS store. You can reach us about privacy at info@versusports.com.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection minimal, and different parts of the Service collect different things:

The scoreboard (app.versusports.com). No account is required and no personal information is needed to play. When a match runs, we collect match information (scores, games, match events, timestamps, and settings), a technical device identifier assigned to the phone or screen controlling or displaying a match (so the right device controls the right scoreboard), optional player or team labels if someone chooses to type them in, and basic technical log data your browser sends automatically (such as IP address and browser type), used to operate and secure the Service.

Demo and contact forms (versusports.com and venues.versusports.com). If you request a demo or contact us, we collect what you submit: your name, work email, venue name, number of courts, phone number if provided, and anything you write in the message field. We use it to respond to you.

The store (versusports.com). If you make a purchase, we collect contact, billing, shipping, and transaction details. Payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not store your full payment card numbers.

Communications. If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence.

3. What we don't do

We do not run third-party advertising trackers on our sites or in the scoreboard, and we do not sell or rent your personal information. We don't intentionally collect more personal information than we need.

4. How we use information

  • Operate the scoreboard and keep matches running correctly across devices;
  • Respond to demo requests and other inquiries;
  • Process, fulfill, and ship store orders;
  • Provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
  • Show venues usage statistics for their own courts;
  • Communicate with venues and users about the Service; and
  • Comply with law and protect our legal rights.

5. How we share information

We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers — companies that host and run our infrastructure (such as our cloud hosting, database, and e-commerce platform providers) process data on our behalf so the Service can function.
  • Public match views — if a live-scoreboard link is shared, the live score and any on-screen labels for that match are visible to anyone with the link, and the final result remains viewable at that link after the match ends. Don't share a match link you'd rather keep private.
  • Legal and safety — when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfer — if VersuSports is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. Our store and payment platforms

The VERSUSPORTS store runs on a third-party e-commerce platform, and payments are handled by payment providers acting on our behalf. These providers collect and process the order, account, and browsing information needed to operate the store, process your payment, and prevent fraud, under their own privacy and security obligations. Depending on where you reside, you may opt out of any sharing of your information for targeted advertising here. If you browse with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device as required by applicable law.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to run the Service and for the purposes described here, then delete or de-identify it. Match records are part of the Service's history for the venues and players who created them; you can ask us to delete information associated with you or your matches by emailing info@versusports.com.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for venues and adult operators and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because matches may involve players of any age, please do not enter the name or personal details of a child as a player label without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child's information has been provided to us, contact info@versusports.com and we will delete it.

9. Your choices and rights

You can play without entering any personal information at all, and player labels are always optional. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information associated with you, or request a copy of it, by emailing info@versusports.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local privacy laws — including, for Oregon residents under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, the rights to know, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data and to opt out of certain processing. We honor these rights as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If you receive promotional email from the store, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email; we may still send non-promotional messages about your orders or requests.

10. International transfers

We may transfer, store, and process information outside the country where you live, using recognized safeguards where the law requires them.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected on our websites.

13. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints: email info@versusports.com, call +1 541-633-6611, or write to VERSUSPORTS LLC, 5532 Murray St SE, Salem, OR 97306, United States. Depending on where you live, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
